Logging into Electronic Resources
Members of the University of Wolverhampton are able to use a large number of electronic databases, journals and books.
Using these electronic resources requires logging in with your university IT account passwords; you are then recognised as a permitted user.
Whether you are on-campus/network, or using a non-University PC remotely, go to:
http://www.wlv.ac.uk/athens
You will see a login box. If the box has 3 lines, (for Username, Password and Domain), put in your university IT account username and password, and /UNV in the domain box.
If the box has 2 lines, (for Username and Password only), enter your IT account username and password.
If other information has appeared automatically on the Username line, delete this before entering your details.
With some databases, you may be asked to accept terms and conditions for Athens users; click on the Accept link to do this. You should not be required to do this again.
You will then be automatically authorised, and returned to the Electronic Resources menu.
If the system does not accept your username and password, ask IT Services to check them out ( phone: 01902 322000 ).
The Databases A-Z page has a full list of all our electronic databases, and gives information about access and use. The Electronic Journal page enables you to find a journal when you know the journal title. The electronic book page lists various Electronic Book services (individual titles can also be found in the Online Catalogue).
